Coach Angharad, or as the kids like to call her, Coach A, is a first year AmeriCorps program coordinator that passionately brings play to the students of Mary Coghill Elementary School.

After visiting New Orleans for one week for an alternative spring break trip, she fell in love with the Big Easy and decided to call the city home.

Angharad enjoys the bonds and relationships that she has made with the students throughout the year. In post-Katrina New Orleans, Coach A feels that play is important because it allows the students to be kids again. She says she believes that when the students are playing they are having fun and do not worry about the hardships of the past or the pressures of the future.  As the year goes on, she continues to bring caring, playfulness, and a whole lot of enthusiasm to work each and every day.
